When you post pictures of your #child on the internet, along with happy birthday messages, clips of them talking, or really any identifiable information, it gets sold to data brokers and stored until it can be used. It can easily be used to assemble their identity, including exact scans of their retina if your pictures of their face are detailed enough with something like the likes of say a decent android or iphone camera. We as a society, do not understand the implications of what this all may mean in the future yet, but it’s safe to say that posting too much info about your kids online is not safe for them. You just want to do it to get the likes, or think it’s cute for their family to see. It won’t be cute when there are clones of them in #cyberspace committing #fraud against them because their #retina was brokered before they could even consent to you posting their face online. Shit, what if AI recreates their voice and uses that voice to make a distressed call to you looking for money or worse, more data about the rest of your family. Stop posting your kid’s data, it doesn’t do anything for them.
