on the fence. vim is standard fare on all the servers we manage as it comes with Rocky so replacing that would mean either neovim or pulling in a 3rd party repo for something else. I honestly don't care enough to do that. I would also only do that if any fork demonstrates it's properly maintained in the long run. Boutique forks are harmful.
On my private machines this might be the push I need to convert my setup to neovim. Maybe.
