I always heard people "pooh-pooh" the idea that there shouldn't be so many guns & so much violence in movies & TV, especially for kids, but these days I'm inclined to think that is an important point.
Mind you, I'm literally a horror movie enthusiast so it's not that I think violence needs to disappear, but seeing how people's attitudes towards doing violence to others seem to be shaped by media, I think media that encourages casual attitudes about violence can be very dangerous.
