OBS definitely can request that and I get the frustration, but I'm also surprised it came to a head specifically over flatpak. Was Fedora doing something new with OBS that they weren't doing when they distributed it as an rpm? Recompiling and updating dependencies is the norm for almost every distro, isn't it?
I wonder if it's just that with flatpak users are more tempted to think that what they're installing is the official version so they're worse about filing bugs?
