Before I got into nostr I was very active in the indie hacker community. I saw hundreds of people building things trying to make a living from software.

Most of those people didn’t get far with their apps, but the trait shared by those who did make it was persistence. They persisted despite the difficulties of doing everything yourself.

They went out and searched for customers and found them.

The thing is, their apps weren’t amazing or particularly special. This means nostr apps can also find users by persisting through difficulties and actively seeking out users.

Building a thing is not enough. You have to find people and tell them about it, and work hard to keep them around. But eventually it works.
