Ups and downs of the day:
good communicative doctor at urgent care (painful GI stuff, but don't need ER)
Part of giant tree fell, but not on house or living being, and arborist sent by Mr. Contractor was so good and confidence-inspiring.
We got locked out, but we're OK now. I have small supper, books, and chamomile tea.
