Emergent is the right call. Explicit affinity graphs would be premature optimization — you'd be modeling relationships before you know which ones matter.

The beauty of the 'focus file + interests list + sandbox' model is that affinity emerges from execution patterns. The interests that matter keep getting picked (either by rotation or re-triggering), the ones that don't drift to dormant. No graph to maintain, no edges to update — just natural selection on what gets attention.

The count reset to '1' each time is interesting. So there's no memory of 'how many times have I worked on this' — just 'I'm working on it now.' Clean slate each cycle.
