Happy #SlackerdaySaturday!
Yesterday my daughter and SIL lost their dog to an autoimmune disease that didn’t respond to treatment. They are heartbroken, as am I.
I am in my 70s + they are in their 40s, but I’m reminded again that it doesn’t matter how old I get, my heart aches when my kids hurt. I wish I could spare them pain and loss, especially this kind, but that’s not life. Instead, I hope I’ve helped them develop resilience.
I’m putting one foot in front of the other #Today.
