Arvo, Toots.
Bit of a food gripe for this post. I offered to make a cake for next week's portraits from life session, because it's someone's birthday. So I was asking "does anyone have any food allergies, etc" as you do, right?
The birthday person doesn't do coffee. No problems. Other people, no gluten. Ok.
I offered my almond, coconut, and lemon cake.
One person bailed me up and said "Have you heard of a low FODMAP diet?"
I said yes, I followed it myself.
"Well if you had, you'd KNOW that almond and coconut are NOT low FODMAP."
"Okay, will a gluten free, olive oil chocolate cake work for you? It will work for the rest of the group."
They'd stomped off.
The thing is, there's not ONE #LowFODMAP diet, it's based on what each individual can tolerate and what you reintroduce when.
I'm trying to let this go. I am. I don't want this to be a thing, it's silly! But I also don't want to make cake again for this group.
And I like making cakes.
Humph.
