If I had my say I'd mandate all new stovetops from 2026 onwards would need to ship with induction burners on at least the front two slots, then moving to full induction in 2030. Also I'd likely mandate a convection fan added to the oven part because most people already love convention ovens and they arent wrong.

I think most new ovens have convection fans on them because it's not terribly expensive and it allows the company to claim it has air fryer functions.

Obviously I would not force anyone to throw away their old oven if they like it. This would only apply to new machines.

Like everyone cooking dinner is part why 5-9pm puts a strain on the grid and less power consumption is always more better especially at peak hours
