I doubt it. Speaking from 'generation rent', the properties I have lived in that were managed by large lettings agents rather than private landlords were much more stressful places to live, with a higher likelihood that repairs would not get made.

Private landlords are a crap shoot. I have had bad ones and very good ones. But large corporations impose blanket rules and do not care about tenants. They want to inspect more 4 times a year and are far more likely to ban pets.
