Okay for those of us that like UNIXy operating systems, but not where the Linux side has slid away from the "small, limited use tools used together" towards things like systemd, why not use *BSD or Haiku?
Haiku may be single user, but it's blazing fast and has a POSIX core, and, well, FreeBSD is *right there*
Personally I would use FreeBSD over Linux as soon as it has a more complete 802.11ax stack.
Haiku is great, and will be even better once something like Epiphany is more stable.
