Fellow Brits, let's talk about the flags. Patriotism and pride in our heritage is having dedicated events celebrating cherished aspects of our culture and its history - for which there are national holidays, festivals, traditional observances in homes, etc. No-one is trying to stop any of that. Flags used to only go up here on special occasions such as international sporting events. So what's changed that even roundabouts and public buildings are now graffitied with the St. George's cross?
