As a Bitcoiner of 2010 I can tell you that some of us learned the hard way and some of us learned through the failures of others.
We all learned something. That's why I believe Fiat > Gold > Bitcoin > Monero is a one-way street. You deeply need to understand one to then understand the implications.
By the way appreciating Monero as my digital cash and private store of value suddenly made me sell all my Bitcoin, neither my gold and neither my cash. Although I try my very best to live on Monero and have great opsec to protect the privacy of my family.
