In the original No2ID days, I didn't used to be opposed to having a secure identity proof signed by govt, I was just opposed to the centralisation and databases.
But now, with the spectre of fascism rising, I see that even a distributed proof-of-entitlement ID without any central servers would be a vector for abuse and exclusion.
So, yeah, I've changed my mind on that one. I wasn't paranoid enough.
