Perhaps the eradication of the presumption of innocence (a legal principle going back at least to Magna Charta 1215) within finance is a testing-ground to see what people would tolerate?

I remember the recent "pandemic" where everybody was presumed ill unless they could prove otherwise - a first in world history I believe (correct me if I am wrong). The presumption of medical innocence was abolished..
