How do I explain this? It's not just GCC, it's most Sunnis who haven't drunk the Lib-koolaid. Also, it's not strictly and Arab VS Persian thing, although it is a factor.

There is a deep mistrust between Sunnis and Shiia that runs a more than a millennium deep. This mistrust runs the gamut of all matters of life; theological, political, cultural... Etc.

Now, whether that is right or wrong, that's a different issue. The point is, you can't just wipe this mistrust just because of whatever grand ideology you believe in. Work has to be done by both sides first. No one will forget Saddam and what he did, and no one will forget what Suleimani did in Syria.
