I didn't cook it with the dal, but added on top - more like a curry or spicy lentil stew now than a dal, with all the greens etc in it. Yuba has no taste of its own, so it just soaks up any flavours it is in. I left the sticks semi long, so they were succulent to eat. Delicious!
