reviews on the fediverse are useful but likely rarely get much engagement because even if tagged with a hashtag (how I see most) they have to show up in your feed AND be about either a book or at least a topic (if non-fiction) where you know enough to have a reaction. I have discovered (and purchased) multiple books from posts about them here but haven’t gotten into a back and forth discussion based on a review very often (and if at all)
