What brand of switch did you go with? My experience with the TP-Link Matter switches has not been great - I've never been able to successfully onboard the one I installed. It's a shame, because they're so cheap!
I bought a bunch of Zooz wall switches a while ago but I haven't gotten around to installing any of them yet. I mainly want them for the smart bulb mode, and I would have preferred to stick to ZigBee so they could build out my existing network, but the options for ZigBee switches with smart bulb mode are all more expensive.
My hope is that with some strategic placement my Z-Wave network will have enough coverage. I think it should have better range than ZigBee anyways, and my house is not very big so the signal doesn't need to travel that far.
