I was thinking about that.
Sometimes I get that little doubt, "Is peaceful protest helping?"
But it is a show of strength. Like animals forming a circle with their horns out, a bigger number of peaceful protesters means that the opponents will have a harder time when it comes to a fight.
Plus there's recruiting, awareness, public relations.
I don't make it to every protest but I'm going as often as I can afford.
