The reason content warnings are so heavily emphasised on Fedi are to avoid the thing that happened all the time on twitter and now happens on Bluesky where somebody quotes a big post about how someone like you just got murdered for no reason (beyond bigotry) and the killer is going to get away with it and there are 20 people mourning in the comments.
I'd at least like the option to brace myself, nevermind being able to opt out of further psychic damage, thanks.
