So I need a DAC that either has volume control or a separate preamp.
I'm currently looking at a Schiit Gungnir 2 DAC. It has some EQ (that I hope I don't need) and volume control. But, the control features only work with iOS (at the moment ... not a big problem since I'm not in a hurry and they say Android is coming).
Oh, and I need a DAC with balanced and unbalanced outputs that can both be driven at the same time (not all can). My Crown is balanced and my Cary is unbalanced. /3
