European friends often say, quite correctly "We have racist people in Europe too. Quite a few actually!" and that is true. Individually, there's not much difference. 🤷🏿♂️
But systemically? The US has racist systems at such a scale and level of horror, that they have no equal in Europe, or anywhere on earth. Civil asset forfeiture is one of those systems. $68 billion stolen between 2000 and 2019. Most victims are poor and Black.
