While the world today is preoccupied with current events in the Middle East, I'd like to commemorate the August 4th, 2020 explosion at the harbor of #Beirut, #Lebanon.
Until today, no one has been hold responsible for the storage of many tons of ammonium nitrate in a wearhouse totally unsuitable for this purpose.
This, unfortunately, is typical for Lebanon and its corrupt elite of politicians and extended families who have robbed the country and its inhabitants of its future. To make things worse, the Levantine strip of land has been the playground for many international players, among those, the USA, Israel, Syria, France, Iran, Russia, and Great Britain.
