she has been so strong, for so many years, and faced so much nastiness and gendered criticism, that now, to find out about this...oh, my heart
if you have not seen the 2018 documentary about her, it's still available on PBS Passport, and is worth spending some time with so you get a sense of why this news is so extraordinarily sad for women in the movement
