ah, hmmm. I'm not much of an artist so I can't say if it's sacred or not but AI art or rather AI made to use for art and images is just a tool. The wise will use it the cave men won't. It's no different then when people started to use pens over say a quill. The wise saw it as the superior tool. Was using the quill artistic and elegant? Yes but the been mad things faster and just more efficient. Later pens were made to allow you to be as glowing as a quill. So really I think it's more people having a defensive instinct reaction to something new.
AI assisted art will become the norm. Someone still has to make new baseline materials for the AI to use and needs to actually be good at art to modify and fix the massive errors and mistakes. Plus there's the infinite inspiration well it can create with the really creative types.
Overall AI is just a tool. It will never replace a human fully. It literally can't.
