The problem there isn't the reproduced snippets of code but the lawyer stating that it's "clearly copyright infringement".
What I'm getting at is whether a functional snippet of code qualifies for copyright at all - the threshold of originality: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threshold_of_originality
... which is why I can guarantee that my own LLM-assisted code isn't license encumbered. Nothing large enough is being assisted anywhere, the contributions from the LLM are trivial.
