Yes.
When I complained about the series going nowhere it was less about the plot and more about the show as a whole.
You have characters that have been around since the beginning still treated as special guest appearances.
There is no drama because Conan isn't dismissed as much for being a kid anymore.
There's no tension because they don't put Conan in as much danger anymore (without 20 trained cops, fbi, and a sniper).
For the 1000th ep they re-did one of the series' most iconic episodes and it was worse in almost every regard.
New things happen all the time. New arcs,plot threads, characters etc. But the series is stagnant because it lost a lot of what made it great and is now just soullessly pumping episodes
