The antithesis of capitalism* is care and caring. That's actually the real culture war we're engaged in, the culture of care versus the culture of selfishness/uncaring. That's why fascists are attacking public health and masking, why they're dismantling social safety nets, it's why they promote eugenics and Social Darwinism, it's why they deride empathy and see it as a weakness (yet demand it be provided to themselves), it's why they value competition over collaboration, and why they promote a toxic violent idea of masculinity and deride the feminine as conceived of as gentle, soft and nurturing (even their ideas about motherhood are often cruel).

*Because capitalism is about exploitation and requires hierarchies of worth and humanness to justify this exploitation of the Othered.
