thing is the US anyway has that PATRIOT and CLOUD Acts that allow access to information without disclosure. And with Meta selling metadata to data brokers, who provide it to the government, I can't understand why Facebook is not in the same boat as TikTok. I'd rather see TikTok though sold off to a non-US company, as too much of the world's social media is already under US control.
