The highlight of my "performing music live" experience has definitely been the time one of my bands opened for Beauty Pill.
I still sometimes get their live intro to "Rachel Wallace" from that night in my head out of nowhere: "I got separate / From the product / Of my labor", sung in the round. (Cleverly but disappointingly, this intro wasn't on the original release, although they did include it here on the re-release: https://beautypill.bandcamp.com/track/rachel-wallace-overture )
Anyways, this is the backstory of why I sometimes think "I got #Federated…" but realize almost no one else will catch the reference.
