We have COVID in this house. Research shows that Metformin lowers the odds of long COVID in the obsese.
Partner is overweight by medical standards. Got a telehealth appt. Raised this with GP. GP was like "huh, hadn't heard that." GP checked the advice/research, then agreed this was appropriate and prescribed.
So double win: meds obtained but also GP educated. You might be able to do the same.
