You’re talking about US politicians. Inflation is all over Europe and the rest of the world. The Covid lockdowns were global and affected production and trade everywhere. Even if the US never went into lockdown you would still see high inflation globally. There were just overall less goods and services being made while businesses had their income interrupted. This destroyed or delayed fragile supply chains. The money printer going brrrr in every nation in the world didn’t help.
