A business should make products that are so good, they'd only sell each person one of them.

Improve each yearly model of the product by so much that people actually want to buy more, instead of needing to.

Supply chains will stop manufacturing old models after the latest version is designed.

Very soon after, the stores will fill their entire stock with the new models, because the old ones will have already been sold out.

As products age naturally and start to wear out, people will want to go buy a newer one anyway.

The key is want, not need.

Businesses who make people need to buy a new product are doing it wrong.

You have to make the user want your product, not need it. Competition with other vendors is good. Monopolies are bad.
