There is nothing to be said against throwing some extra money on tech and the buildings, working in conditions that look like out of a war movie or some documentary about a 3rd world country is not very motivating. But yes, generally you are right, it's about warm hands employed. Technology can help a bit, but it's always about the humans involved.

The issue is also, not sure if that applies to the UK too, but there is also a generational difference.
