If it takes x amount of strength to get thru your day, then x + (any amount) makes your day (any amount) easier.

Almost every physical ability we have is a function of strength. As we age, we naturally loose strength.

I didn’t start squatting seriously until my mid 30’s. It fixed a mariad of physical problems i had. Namely lower back pain and knee and ankle pain.

Squats changes my life.
(deadlifting helped too.)
my challenge to you:
do 100 squats a day without even posting about it.

The whole 100 push-ups a day thing feels a little misguided to me. ESPECIALLY if it’s the only resistance exercise you are doing.

Esthetically, we value pecs, but think about how often you use the push-up motion in your day-to-day life.

Maybe pushing open a door …. and push-ups….

Moreover, too much pushing and not enough pulling over time can lead to posture and shoulder mobility problems.

Compared to something like a squat, which, when done correctly, uses multiple muscle groups evenly and it strengthens muscles that you will use every day for the rest of your life.

Sitting/standing, walking/running/jumping, going up/down stairs, getting in and out of bed, getting in your car, etc.

It also activates ATP more which helps overall with healing from any injury.

100 squats, a day will improve your life now and make you live longer.

100 push-ups is a social media meme.

this is a great video on the basics of squatting.
