Is switching to local authentication only a reasonable option? I deleted my Windows 11 laptop from my (basically unused) MS account specifically to remove the authentication dependency on MS. The MS account doesn't buy me anything I care about and just adds failure points and load that I don't want to deal with. Your needs may differ; just noting that decoupling your machine from MS's network authentication might be an option worth looking into.
