i met him and his spouse at the Giant in Fairfax near Exxon/Mobile's robopumps in 1999. i thanked him for the Internet and generally acted like i just met john lennon much to the amusement of his wife. I was looking for him cuz in the parking lot I saw a car with tags CERFS UP and uunet was close. (mine were GOT ROOT at the time 😭🤦‍♂️)
