When painting I'm going the impressionist-route. So - it has to look good from a certain distance. I don't need too many details, because the centrepiece will be the Beast of Nurgle getting sponge-washed by its Nurgling-friends. So the colouring of the terrain is just a frame leading up to the minis.
I decided on a main colour-scheme and added a few splashes of complimentary colours to freshen it up and to avoid getting too boring.
after that it was a really fast paint. 😊
