Kind of wish the indie version of the game had a demo for mac OS but no luck. The only demo is for windows. The itch,io spring sale is on until the 25th, so maybe I can download the windows demo and mess around with it a bit on my partner's parents computer to see how the controls work for me.
Or maybe I'll just buy the damn game and take my chances since it's not that much and it's been probably a couple years since I bought any kind of game. *shrug*
