I don’t see how you could argue for or against a given social structure without having some ethical theory you are using to judge social institutions. All idealisms aren’t equally okay.
This is just advocating moral relativism. How could you possibly judge whether Ellerman’s desired system is good or bad without appealing to some moral criteria. Many anti-capitalists keep the moral criteria they’re using to judge the system vague.
