The plastic IBC totes should never be placed under pressure, and are rated for only 0.5 psi. They have pressure relief valves, which may fail when exposed to gasoline vapors, that open at 0.25 psi. The vapor pressure of gasoline is between 5 and 15 psi at 70 degrees F. Only a steel IBC tote should be used to hold gasoline.
