"content": "More #FreeCADFriday now in Friday in my own time zone. I have a fan that I want to make a table stand for to use outside while operating #HamRadio. First I modeled the fan in a silly amount of detail, including the grill, which took some learning, and I'm still pretty sure I didn't do it in the best way! But I got it done.\n\nNext I used that as a shape binder to model a case around it. But I have only one grill per fan, so I really need to have something to keep fingers out. I used the front grill to work out spacing between the bars, and I'm playing with the PolarPattern to work out how may radials I think I need; fewer is better for airflow, but enough to support the axial elements.\n\nUltimately. this will need some sort of stand and a way for the wires to come out to power it.
