I was having a chat with a friend who went full Linux after years on WIndows. I have also tried this multiple times, but as a long time mac user I find the loss of integration with with my iPhone and other apps/devices is a high price to pay and so never fully migrated.
If other vendors could integrate with the IOS apps just as easily as apple does then this problem could be alleviated. Maybe someone could even bring back "My Photo Stream"! The biggest act of #enshitification Apple has ever committed.
