Either get NXP's kernel to boot (by supplying a matching device tree (and potentially bringing over missing drivers) or copy NXP's kernel's graphics stack over to Purism's tree (also adjusting device tree) and bring over the binary blobs from their reference image.
Both ways are not actually fun, I'd rather spend time on improving the mesa driver.
