France has shut down two of its over 50 reactors in order to meet regulations designed to prevent stress on the local ecosystem with a wide safety margin.
Because it has the capacity to do that while still meeting demand.
So, yes, I think that you can green your way out of the Climate Crisis, and France did exactly that 40 years ago, using nuclear power. If everyone had done the same, we'd be in a much better place today.
