I never went to school for any of this. I was coding on a Commodore 64 in like the 1st and 2nd grade. Got pulled into working at a engineering firm on their mainframe in like the 8th grade. I was their with my mom when I saw the IT guy struggling with a issue. I kept telling him I could fix it till he eventually gave up lol. He let me try and in 5 minutes the backup was running again. That got me a summer job for a couple of years. I did fail a programming class in high school but that's because the teacher was a moron and could never figure out how my code worked. She was from the punch card days of programming. Me being less code to do more is better. I piss her off to no end almost daily haha.
