When I was probably 12ish and the older of my younger brothers was around 10, we all shared a bedroom with me on the top bunk and both of them on the bottom (it was a twin + double stack meant to sleep 3).
If we weren't ready to sleep yet, we'd pass the time with D&D-esque verbal roleplaying games (no dice or anything, story flow purely driven by him as the DM and remaining characters).
