"facial and gait recognition", yeah, I don't think so.
Why go to all that effort when they already know who you are? It's a club store: you have to scan your (semi-)unique membership card when you checkout. Just add a camera or two between the checkout and the door, track the person walking to the checkout.
Zero need for facial recognition or Mission Impossible gait detection.
